My civil war roster CD shows only 1 William F. Costello. He was in 4 New York Calvary. If this is who yoou are looking for, you can send to NARA & get his records. The NARA formyou need can be printed off their webpage or obtained by writing to them or is available at most genealogical societies & many libraries.
