    3. I received this from another list but it is for real. I have a subscription of Ancestry.com and they have a sample of the Census (for AL) online so you can see what it will look like. I don't know what the fee increase will be for those who already subscribe. Wonder if this will push Family Tree Maker into putting more Census online also. Mariana In the August 15 issue of USA TODAY, p. 3D, an article about all U. S. Census records, from 1790-1920, are going to be posted on Ancestry.com by mid September. They are in the process of taking digital pictures of all the Census records, containing 450 million names. Access to the records will cost a yearly fee, but subscribers to the full Ancestry.com site get a discount, according to the article.
