Thomas Cottrill b1802, son of Thomas Cottrill, had several children with Delilah Laughry; lived in Harrison Co, now WV. In the 1850 Harrison cenus, SHE is listed as head of household as Delila Laughry, no Thomas. In 1860 she is listed as head of household as Delilah Cottrill, no Thomas. In 1870 ole Thomas Cottrill shows up as head of household. In 1880 Thomas is dead and Delia Cottrill, widow is listed. Did Thomas Cottrill ever marry Delilah? And, if so, where and when? Delilah Loughry b. 1803 married Thomas Cottrill son of Thomas Cottrill and Catherine Acors. They had children Abraham b. 1831, Benjamin b. 1834, Ellen Doyle b. 1834, Jefferson b. 1836, Mary b. 1838, John b. 1840, Artimissa b. 1842, Harriett b. 1846, and Catherine b. 1846. Delilah was the daughter of Patrick Loughry b. abt. 1765 Pa. and Catherine Hickman Loughry of Harrison co. Va. This was in the book "Jeremiah Loughry Family Genealogy Records from Ireland, Pa., WVA and Beyond, by James Stephens and Harold Jones. According to the book, Thomas died in 1850. There was no marriage date given.I don't know why he would reappear in 1860!! I know that Patrick Loughry's children were all born in Harrison co.
