    3. Hello List Members, I went through the Harrison County Birth Registers (Books 7 thru 9) this evening on microfilm looking for Pascuzzi's and Renzelli's born between 1907 and 1916. They were from Grasselli/Anmoore & Clarksburg later on. Didn't find them yet, but I am wondering if births of new Italian immigrants were usually reported to the County near the time of birth, reported later on, or not reported/recorded at all. Interested in similar research. Thanks. Rick __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Kick off your party with Yahoo! Invites. http://invites.yahoo.com/

    2. Mary E. Gain
    3. Hi List: I am new to the list. Searching: GAIN, GAINES, GAINS ( and any like). My husband is descended from the MD. Gain Family through Thomas Gain m to Mary Kroh (Crow) of Hanover, Pa.Thomas and Mary were born around 1800. Would like to exchange info with other researchers of this family. I have only found Thomas Gain's name on the death certificate of his son Philip H and an obit in the Baltimore Sun for 1848. I know that many of the Gain families moved from MD to Harrison Co. W.Va. and I am trying to learn how Thomas remained, or came back to MD and also where he and Mary are buried. Willing to share what info I have. Thank you, Mary G

    3. Thanks for your help. I am planning on going to the 74th annual Loughry reunion at Seven Islands, WVA Tucker county in just a few weeks. I hope someone there will be able to further my knowledge on this family. I wish I had more time to spare so I could look around for some records while I am in the great state of West Virginia. 1. [WVHARRIS] Daniel Carson Louchery
    2. Paul Lucas
    3. Hello list, I have written in the past about trying to find out the ancestry of Daniel Carson Louchery who has a bio on the Harrison co. page. In the article it states his father as Daniel, grandfather as a James William Carson Loughrey who lived in Maryland, and gggrandfather as an old Rev War soldier. I was trying to connect Daniel with my Patrick Loughry (wife Catherine Hickman) who lived in Harrison county in the late 1700's and early 1800's. I believe I have found the James who is the father of Daniel (father of D.C. Louchery). I found that a James Loughrey married a Margaret Kefauver/Keefore in Pa. and that they may have moved to Maryland at some point. They are buried in Fairmont WVA (is that Harrison county?) Here is the cemetery info. They may have had a daughter Eliza as I found the following. District Cemetery Name Birthdate Death Date Rel Kin Survey Date Comment Fairmont Woodlawn James Loughrey - - 1787 01 Jul 1868 Fairmont Woodlawn Margaret Loughrey 07 Feb 1794 27 May 1888 w James Loughrey Name: Louchery, Eliza Birth Date: 1808 Birth Place: Maryland Father's Name: Father owned a farm in Virginia as well Mother's Name: Spouse: Joseph Whetstone Marriage Date: 1824 Marriage Place: Fayette co., PA Children: John and eleven others Date of Death: 1874 Place of Death: Fayette co., PA Some allied names may be Franks and Fleming, too. Since my Patrick born abt. 1765 was the son of John Loughry b. 1737 York co. Pa. John lived in Fayette Pa. at some point. He was a Rev. War soldier. It may be possible that James William Carson Loughry may be Patrick's brother. The original John had brothers James, William, Jeremiah, and Archibald. I don't know where the Carson name came from. John's wife has always been an unknown, it would be great to find out she was a Carson. Is anyone connected to this family? Rebecca Loughry Lucas

    2. Hi, Fairmont, WV is in Marion Co (formed 1842 from parts of Harrison Co & Monongalia Co), so you'd look there for their death certificates. Nancy Hymes McKane >> To Nancy, I just returned from the Waldomore, home of the Harrison County Gen. Society. While there, I checked the 1950-51 Clarksburg City Directory, where I found a listing for a Mayflower Beer Garden on 429 Baltimore Ave. The Lee Hotel was located at 433-435 Baltimore Ave. They were both across the street from the railroad depot. While Clarksburg no longer has passenger train service, there are some freight trains still running. Neither the Mayflower nor the Lee Hotel are still in existence.
