    3. I have the following, taken from a geneology chart at the Moorefield library. 1 Michael Harness sp Elizabeth Jasper 2 Peter Harness sp Barbara Devries 3 Michael Harness (Jan 1700 - 3 Mar 1783) born in York County, Pa. His will was probated 8 Mar 1785 sp Elizabeth Tepebo (Jephebe/Westfall) (c 1706) 4 John Harness (1725) 4 Elizabeth Harness 4 Jacob Harness (died in infancy) 4 Barbara (Rebecca) Harness 4 Conrad Harness 4 Adam Harness 4 Leonard Harness 4 George Harness Sr. (2 January 1739 or 40 - 7 Apr 1823) born Hardy Co. W. Va. sp Elizabeth Ann Yoakum (c 1743 - 2 Apr 1815) both are buried at Olivet Cemetery, east of Moorefield 5 George Harness Jr sp Barbara See 5 Pamela Harness sp Adam Casper (or Carper) 5 Elizabeth Harness sp Joseph Hutton 5 Dorothy Harness (c 1783 - 5 Dec 1820) sp George Renick ( 7 Sept 1776 - 15 Sept 1863) (married 27 Aug 1802) both are buried in Grandview Cemetery, Chillicothe, OH 5 Adam Harness sp Eunice Harness 5 Martha (Patsy) sp Isaac Darst 4 Michael Harness Jr. 4 Peter Harness 4 Jacob Harness I think the Dorothy you have is a 4 using the above numbering, but she was not shown on the chart I saw. So my 3g-grandmother Dorothy would be a niece of the Dorothy who married Samuel Hornbeck. I only have one Dorothy in my files so far, dau of Johann Michael Ernst and Maria Elisabetha Dieffenbach [my 5ggrandparents] - I have as her husband Samuel Hornbeck. If I am wrong I would like to correct this. I do have 9 George Renicks in my files but none married to a Harness. > > Karen in FL > > > Barbara Renick <brenick@columbus.rr.com> wrote: > My ancestor from Hardy County is George Renick > who left Hardy Co. in 1802 with his wife Dorothy Harness to go to Ross > County, Ohio. > > If you have questions, I will try to answer.
