In reply to an inquiry about Thomas Bean and Sarah Hill, a citation was given from Strunk's Hampshire and Hardy Counties, WVa Abstracts which refers to Thomas Bean and wife Mary Bean, not Sarah. > In my book Hampshire and Hardy Counties, WVa Abstracts > on page 158 > Hardy Co Deed Book Vol 4 for 1795-1800 > 301 10 Jan 1798, THOMAS BEAN and wife Mary Bean to Bennet Bean, 400 acres for L50.10 part of a 713 acre tract. This Thomas Bean was a son of Robert (d. 1791) and Margaret. According to Josephine Bean Wilson, The Bean Family: Hardy County, Virginia, Line (Athens, Ohio: 1917) p. 5, "Thomas Bean, born about 1755, moved to Hardy County about 1795, where he died. He married Mary Gwynne there." They had 11 children, nine of whom moved to Athens County, Ohio.
