Pansy, I saw your message on the Hardy Co. page regarding Zena Michael and wondered if you might know anything about a Rachael Michael born Feb 1849. She married Jacob Wise in Hardy Co. 27 Aug 1874. I have not located her in 1850 or 1860 but in Hardy Co. 1870 she is listed in the home of Henry Wise and wife Mary Catherine Swisher as a "domestic servant". Mainly I am trying to prove that Jacob Wise is the long lost brother of my Mary Ann Wise (1823-1893) and was hoping I could find a descendant of Jacob and Rachael who might confirm this. The only Rachel Michael I have anything on at this time was the daughter of Solomon and Elizabeth Stingley Michael, born 10 Aug.,1814 in Hardy Co.,married Adam Cosner 10 Oct.,1833 in Hampshire Co.,died 15 Sept.,1870 in Pleasant Hill, Cass Co.,Missouri. She had at least 5 brothers, so your Rachel might be a daughter of one of them.
