    3. I don't like it either. Is it necessary to include the previous messages numerous times?

    3. If you mean including the previous messages in new post, that's the fault of the sender and not the system. I think good practice is to leave enough so that the reader knows what your message responds to and to delete the rest. I left the gist of your message here: Subject: [WVHARDY] format > Is it necessary to include the previous messages numerous times? > It's a simple matter of taking the time to delete the prior message when we reply to a post. On piggy-backing: I think it is a matter of courtesy that when we are not replying to the subject of a posting, but introducing a new subject, we should create a new mail and not reply to a message that has no relationship to our new one. If we don't want to type wvhardy@rootsweb.com in the address box every time, use reply, but delete the old subject and insert the new one. And delete the unrelated content in the previous message. When people piggy-back on a message with a new subject, but fail to change the subject line, we hunt through a message looking for the item of interest that isn't there. It's like getting a pile of junk mail that you have to wade through before you decide you can throw it away. And if you like junk mail because you might see something you like, you can still read everything.
