>From the will of Mary Burch, written in Feb. 1843, and I believe her death date was 1853, I found the following information. She names as her heirs Ezekiel, Covington, deceased son Peter's son, John Evans, Nancy Rutman formerly Tharp and Braxton Tharp. The latter two I believe to be grandchildren of a daughter who married a Tharp. Covington Burch, my g.g. grandfather, married Elizabeth Ann Tharp and to her Mary Birch left her "bed and bedding as it stands, also my trunk." She divided her remaint furniture between Ezekiel's wife, Lavina, Betsy Ann Birch, Polly Evans and Nancy Rutman. I am interested in any information about any of the above listed people. Thanks, Sheliamichael@tularosa.net
Oh, wow! You've got some info I don't have. I've traced part of this family back to England, but I'm not where I can get to my info right now. If you don't hear back from me in the next couple days, please remind me to fill you in. Thanks for the info on John Burch in 1816 in Hardy County. That is year my g.g. grandfather was born in Hardy County. He named his first son John William Burch. Shelia Michael New Mexico
