Ellie, Good to see you are still on here! Have you been able to find out if Mary Morrow had a sister named Dorcas? I am still looking for her family. Dorcas married Adam Coil, Hardy County, 8 March 1827. I suspect the father of Dorcas was James or David Morrow. Not sure about this. However, the following deed record may hold some clues. GRANTEE Morrow, James. grantee. DATE 29 September 1809. NOTE Location: Hardy County. NOTE Grantee(s): Morrow, James and Morrow, David. NOTE Description: 45 acres. NOTE Source: Northern Neck Grants A, No. 2, 1805-1812, p. 293-294 (Reel 306). NOTE Recorded survey available. Northern Neck Surveys No. 6, 1802-1809, p. 410 (Reel 317). Dorcas was born 1807 and her first born son was named David Morrow Coil b. 1828 Pendleton Co., VA. Her family has been a brick wall! Also, I noticed the Linthicum surname on here. I am looking for a marriage record of Phoebe Coil to Charles W. Linthicum. Their marriage occurred between 1847-1850. I know Phoebe left the Upper Tract area in the fall of 1848 and appeared on the Ballard Co., KY 1850 census married to Charles. I don't know when or where they married. Possibly before they left VA or shortly after their arrival in Ballard Co., KY. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
