So..... if I wanted to find information on a person who was in the Northwestern part of what is now the George Washington National Forest around the year 1783, would a trip to the Romney, WV Library be best or a court house trip to Moorefield, WV for the land records of that area, at that time. Maybe these are the only records of this area? I seem to have a hard time collecting information on this FEATHER family. They later moved into the Mathias area of Hardy Co. WV.
