    3. I found a file on the Hardy County page which listed the Postmasters in Hardy County in 1851. One of them was James D. Boone, Postmaster of the Baker's Run Post Office. In the March-April 1999 issue of Genealogical Helper, there is a tip about finding the names of Postmasters. There are two films available through the National Archives that list them: M1131 Record of Appointment of Postmasters, Oct. 1789-1832 M841 Record of Appointment of Postmasters, 1832 - Sept 30, 1971 It's the latter I'm interested in. It's arranged alphabetically by state, county, and name of Post Office, then gives a list of names of Postmasters and their dates of service. If anyone has access to this film, I would appreciate very much getting a copy of the entries for the Baker's Run Post Office. I'm hoping to find out how long James Boone was there, which might give me a clue about where he disappeared to! Thanks very much.
