I had my Catherine Jane Neff was married to George Neff moved from Hardy Co to Vermilion Co.IL...Catherine's sister was married to Geroge Tevebaugh son of Daniel Tevebaugh. Another sister Priscilla Neff was married to James McVican. Now I have found both names--Tevebaugh and McVican(or variations) in Vermilion Co. connected to my Stumps, Neffs and Wilsons even in later generations. So something is going on. Also check out the name Tevebaugh on the LDS site. It even mentions a Amarella P. Tevebaugh born 1847 in Hardy Co VA then she is maried to James K Polk Smoot Nov 4 1864 in Vermilion Co. IL. Her parents were Geroge William Tevebaugh and mother Mary Elizabeth Neff. Then I have Jacob C. Tevebaugh born 1856 right in Pilot Twp. Vermilion Co. IL. That is exactly the township of my group. Then we have this from Hardy Co. VA: Will Book 10 p 502. Will of Abraham Neff Died 1860. Mentions 5 shares. Mentions est of Margaret Neff, deceased share of decedent in the estate of the said Margaret Neff dec, Recd 26 Apr 1860. (Abraham's share in his mother's estate. Margaret was wife of Jacob Neff) 1/5"Abraham Neff, decd in account with George Stump who in sight of his wife Catherine, late Catherine Neff, is one of the distributees of the said Abraham Neff decd." 1/5"Admin of Abraham Neff, decd, in account with George Tevebaugh who in sight of his wife, Elizabeth Ann, late Elizabeth Ann Neff is one of the distibutees of Said Abraham Neff, decd." 1/5" To Jacob S.
