Hi everyone - I hope this isn't too hard to follow............ The Beans I am researching come from the early Beans of St.Marys Co, MD. My earliest is JOHN BEAN( wife Mary), born before 1700, and died 1745 in St,Marys Co ( will on file there). His son ROBERT BEAN (wife Margaret) was born 1720 in St.Marys Co, and moved to Hagerstown,MD in the mid to late 1700s. His son, BENNETT BEAN ( wife Ruth Tucker)was born in 1771 in MD, and sometime after 1790 he moved to Hardy Co, WV, along with his father Robert and most of his siblings. They settled in an area near Inkerman, called the "BEAN SETTLEMENT". Next in line is JOSEPH BEAN ( wife Chloe Ann Masters), born 1790 in MD. His son, ERASMUS BEAN (wife Emily Evans), was born in 1822 and died in 1896, buried in the Bean Settlement. Their daughter, FRANCELIA BEAN, born 1853, was my gr gr grandmother . Many of the Hardy Co Beans moved on to Athens, Ohio in the early/mid 1800s. I do have additional information on my Bean line that I'd be happy to share. What I'd really love to find is the missing generation between my JOHN BEAN, who was born before 1700, and the first Bean settlers in St.Marys Co, WALTER and RALPH BEAN.
