I am searching for any information on a Charles Howard Shifflett born in Beldor, VA and married to Vernie Sissy MORRIS. "Howard" and Vernie divorced ca. 1937-38 and Howard left Virginia. Howard worked all over the United States as a migrate worker. He had family near Hagerstown, Maryland and Martinsburg, WV as well as Rockingham Co., Virginia. We have been told that he could have settled anywhere in West Virginia. He may not have told anyone about his family in Virginia. I am also looking for Anna Irene Shifflett the daughter of Howard and Vernie. Anna was born ca. 1937 and left home at 16 years of age. She went by the name of Anna Irene Scott but was last known to go by Anna Irene Everett which may be her married name. She was seen in Baltimore, Md at one time. The family of Charles Howard and Vernie Shifflett have been searching for years for these two family members. I am hoping with the wide area that the internet covers that we will be able to find them or the area in which they are buried so that their family will know their final resting place.
