Well, a researcher said to me that Augusta, that is, parts of it, went into Hardy and Hampshire Counties. Well, my James Kites, m. to Martha Wynne, the descendant of the famous physician to William Penn, Dr. Wynne... My James Kite had children, reputed by actual family tradition of the PA Kites, to have gone to Virginia, though where is not stated. However, LDS, which cannot be wrong every time! says that they went to Augusta County, then had issue: Mary Kite, b. 1742 Abraham Kite, b. 1743 Sarah Kite, b. 1744 Jonathan Kite, b. 1747 William Kite, b. 1748 James Kite, b. 1758 Now these may or may not have actually existed. At any rate, if they did, they were, most likely, Quaker. The family line was Quaker, and primarily one became Methodist, because he entered the Revolution. But if you notice, these are before the Revolution! Does anyone know of these? Reputedly, they all moved to Ross Co., OH. Why is this such a big deal to me? Because it can link the North and the South! PA and VA, hence OH, MI, MN, OR, WA, CA, ID, IA, and many, many other states! So...
