My m. father JULIUS MARIAN CLARK was born 1850 in the BIG RIDGE area of HARDY CTY. JULIUS saw his father JOHN HENRY CLARK killed when he was 10 or 11 years old while he (JOHN) was chopping wood on the wood pile by renegade soldiers.
