May I suggest that on all these obituaries, you transcribe and post them on the website. As someone who has done years of research, I can vouch that sometimes when one reads an obit, they can make a connection that they did not realize exist. Several years ago I found reference to a man that his mother was nee Heare but never could find the connection. On a recent trip to Romney, I copied obits, and in the process, I learned who this man was, who his mother and father were and added several people to this line and even found obituaries for some of his children. Please, consider taking the time to transcribe and post, you may help many people. Sue, the only Tharp I have is Elizabeth Ann Tharp, b. abt 1823 in VA and died 12/15/1860 in Piatt County, IL. She married Covington Burch Dec. 12, 1839. She was my g. g. grandmother and I don't know her parents. I suspect that Solomon Tharp of Hardy County might have been her brother. Shelia Michael New Mexico
