We know that several of the children were born in Ohio and a couple were born in Pa. One may have been born in Virginia. We can find no names spelled Haughee or Hawhee in any other states. The mother was suppose to be from Virginia and no birth place is listed for the father. We can find no Haughey lines that match the names in our line. Arthur would have been born abt 1755 and Nancy S? in 1765. Her name may have been Smith or maybe Sylvester. Their oldest child listed is Thomas born in 1800. James S. in 1804 in Ohio,Arthur 1805 Pa., Sarah 1806 Ohio, Benjamin 1811 Pa. Elizabeth 1812 Ohio, and Catherine 1819 Ohio. There is also a Daniel born 1810 but is not listed in the Indiana 1820 census and so we do not know where he was born. We have decendents of all the children except for Daniel and Thomas. All in Indiana. Not all the marriages took place in Indiana however at least one Sarah (Sally) to a Jeffers in Ohio. Does anyone have any information on this name or anything with these names in their lineages. I have found very few Arthurs. I beleive that they probably lived in Ohio and Pensylvania on either side of the counties of Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, or Marshall. At least that is my explaination of the back and forth births and maybe they didn't know that WV was not Virginia when Nancy's birthplace was listed.
