Mrs. Maude Swiger of 3rd St. Ext., Chester, died Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at home after a long illness. She was 81. Wife of Martin Swiger, she was born Jan. 25, 1884, in Doddridge County, W. Va., a daughter of the late M.S. Snider and Caroline Jones Snider. She had resided in Chester about 20 years and was associated with the Pentecostal Church at Smithfield, W. Va. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Argel (Janet) Albright of Smithfield and Mrs. Oris (Jessie) Kidder of Chester; two sons, John Swiger of East Liverpool and Laco Swiger of Chester; and two brothers, Thomas Snider and Burton Snider, both of Shinnston, W. Va. Services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel at Chester by the Rev. Robert Thomas of the Chester Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Union Cemetery at Pughtown. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight and Thursday afternoon and night.
