Murray Taken At 90 Rites To Be Friday For Former Farmer Samuel Edward Murray, 90, retired Hancock County farmer, died Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the home of his son Harry Murray, in Shepherd's Valley following a four-month illness of old age. Mr. Murray was born in Hancock County where he spent his lifetime. He was an elder in the Pughtown Presbyterian Church. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Eliza Jane Evans Murray; another son, William Murray of Chester; two half-brothers, Joseph Pugh of Carrollton, and Oliver Pugh of Chester, and nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Rites will be held Friday at 2:30 in the Pughtown Presbyterian Church by Rev. William Flurkey, pastor of the New Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery at Pughtown. Friends may call at the Harry Murray home.
