Mrs. Virginia Beal Howell, 46, of Lawrenceville, near Chester, died in Weirton Geriatric Hospital today at 3:34 a.m. following an 8 year illness. Born June 18, 1922, in Hancock County, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Beal and Helen Mehaffey Beal. Survivors include her husband, James E. Howell, at home; five sons, Kenneth Arthur Howell of East Liverpool, Ray Gary Howell of Jacksonville, Fla., Ricky Lee Howell, Frank Joseph Howell and James Eugene Howell, at home; six daughters, Tammy Lynn Howell, Audrey Gay Howell, Anna Marie Howell, Kathy Sue Howell, Ruth Esther Howell and Carol Ann Howell, at home; a brother, Kenneth Beal of East Liverpool, and four grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester, with the Rev. Allen Fields of the New Cumberland Christian Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight and Tuesday afternoon and night.
