Very interesting and enjoyable to read. All the surnames mentioned in that 1904 diary are all local surnames in our Ohio Valley. It would be helpful if someone is can conveniently check the Washington Co. PA 1900 & 1910 census/soundex to see where these name individuals lived to narrow in on the actual location. These early 1900s families never thought twice to catch a train and travel to Pittsburgh for a "little" shopping. Sometimes I think they had more expendable time than us. Does anyone know the game, "FLINCH"? I certainly would look forward to reading additional diary notes. Julia fkrutill@weir.net
