People who are interested in the Geer surname should know about the "Geer Family Association." They publish an impressive quarterly newsletter of (current) family information/queries/etc., and collect generational updates to the the book of Geer genealogy published in 1923 by Walter Geer. The title of this book is "The Geer Genealogy -- A Historical Record of George and Thomas Geer and Their Descendants in the United States from 1623 to 1923." (This book is available from the LDS lending library.) Strangely enough, the name on the spine of the book I saw is "Greer." (?!) When I corresponded with the Association in 1997, Ginger M. August was their Historian, and was very helpful in looking things up. (But there was a VERY long turnaround time; be patient.) I copied part of a name index from the 1923 book, and it shows that Elizabeth Maxwell is mentioned on page 152. If you ask Ginger about this, she will probably send you a copy of the page(s) involved. The address I have is: Geer Family Association Ginger M. August, Historian 32 Stetson Way Princeton, NY 08540 (Maybe you have seen something more up-to-date on the Internet...) Good luck. Judith Mercer Tauber-Lovik Los Altos, CA
