    3. I don't know if there would be any connection or not, but on the Mineral Co web site there are about 4 pages of births with the name Davis in the 1866-1899 time frame. Consisting of Piedmont, New Creek, Elk Garden, Round Bottom Keyser area. Maybe you could get a connection on someone there. There were a few of this family in my Gentry line, from the Piedmont area.
