Dear Charles, There are several other mentions of Jacob Slagle in this book (14!)--would you like them? Several relating to his service as a militia captain, some relating to his land as a landmark (in planning roads, etc.), some mentioning him as a member of a grand jury (and at least one in which he is ordered to show cause why he didn't show up for jury duty), one as a road surveyor...There is also one mention of a Joseph Slagle being appointed as militia ensign (16 Sept. 1801). I don't mind transcribing, if these are relevant. Best wishes, Martha Grenzeback graymatters@ibm.net At 08:30 PM 11-04-2000 -0700, you wrote: >Thank You, Martha for the information on Jacob Slagle. > >Gray Matters wrote: > >> There are these mentions of Richard Willett in Vicki Bidinger Horton, >> Hampshire Co.
