Hi Researchers, I'm looking for *any* data for WILLETT in Hampshire Co., VA (now WV) between 1770's and 1804. I believe these Willett's moved off to Mason Co., KY around 1795. There is a record of a property sale on March 12, 1804 in Mason Co., KY. Richard and Nancy Willett sold 161 acres of land in Hampshire Co., VA (now W. Va. since 1863) to Mattheas Ingles for $1600. Any early Hampshire Co. Willett data would be most appreciated. I'm new to this particular county and have never hunted in those records before. Any county history for the late 1700's is very welcome also. Best Regards, Kathy in MN
