If you can find the David Armstrong Correspondence or Letters site on the Web, Alkire is mentioned. I thought it was a town but perhaps not. I did a google.com search recently and couldn't find the site. Maybe his name is Daniel rather than David Armstrong. I had it bookmarked as a favorite but lost it. Gary Radcliffe
