Joan, If Morris & Nancy Scanlon had children born in Hampshire Co. in 1849 and 1851, that would mean that they would have been there for the 1850 Census. They are not, however, listed in the 1850 Hampshire Co. Census which appears on the Mineral Co. web site. You mention their being listed in the 1860 Census in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. What does it give there as the ages and places of birth for the various members of the family? The state of birth of Nancy would be a good place to look for their marriage record. Check 1850 Census records for states between Nancy's state of birth and Indiana for the family, especially taking into consideration the birth state(s) given in 1860 for William & John. Elaine
