Attention: Bad News for researchers of ancestors on the South Branch in the late 1740s: A letter, 31 Aug 2000, from the Archives Librarian at The Handley Regional Library in Winchester, Frederick Co., has this to say about that "census:" "I have been searching for this item since we established the archives in 1979." "I have never seen the document...." So, until it is found and certified that it actually existed, that newspaper clipping that quoted from the so-called "census" in the 1920s or 1930s will have to be relegated to your "Not Proved" file.
