I knew Gene better than any of them... he lived next door to me when I was growing up and I played with his daughters; his mother visited our home often; my uncles and his brothers were friends. He and my late GM shared a birthday -- Apr 15. The entire family had a deep and abiding faith; one of Gene's brothers entered the ministry; Gene made a long-awaited trip to the Holy Land, 15 or 20 years ago, and had a wonderful time. He was a pallbearer for both my GF and my GM. I last saw him at the Reunion in June. Romney won't be the same. Cheryl
