George was on the 1800 Tax List for property owners with one person over 21 and one horse. This tax list was was for the Lower District or southern half of the Hampshire County, West Virginia. I believe George and Mary (Furl) Hurless/Harless married about 1792-1794 in a settlement near the Potomoc River and by 1807 homesteaded in Harrison County, Ohio where George died in 1825. His will was probated in 1828 and a Samuel Hurless, probably a son, was the executor of this will mentioning only Mary. No children were mentioned in this will but from Harrison County, Ohio records have identified 6 or 7 Hurless family members that could be their children. Would appreciate anything on either the Hurless/Harless or the Furl families that might help identify the parentage of either George or Mary...
