I have only one family in Hampshire County. Looking for the family (parents, siblings) of Jacob REEL b. 1810 in VA d. 1874 in Hancock, Washington County, Maryland. The censuses tell me he was born in Virginia, but I don't know which county. I've been searching for "hotbeds" of Reels in hopes of locating him with the family. No luck so far. Any help would be appreciated! My ancestor MOSES PORTER bn. 14 Nov. 1799 Hampshire Co WV, d. 16 May 1884 Auglaize Co. OH. His parents were *probably* PHILIP PORTER b. abt 1764, d Aug. 1800 Hampshire Co., and SARAH LARGENT b. abt 1767, d Champaign Co. OH. I also have connections to the KIRKENDALL/KUYKENDALL family, but no *direct* ancestors that I know of in Hampshire Co. Marilyn
