I was searching on the internet this morning and found the web page for The Allegheny Regional Family History Society. They are based in Elkins and service the counties surrounding that area. However, one of the pages on the web site is authored by William H. Rice listing the men in the regiment of Capt. Abel Westfall's Co., 8th Virginia Regiment (1776-1778). The comment at the top of the page reads, "The unit is made up of 1776 residents of Hampshire County, Virginia in most cases."
