Yes, it's too bad that this so-called "Historical Society" doesn't do what other historical societies do. There is so much history to be "mined" in this county. It would be so nice if there were someone there who was truly interested in historical preservation who would take this group in hand, shake it out of its social doldrums and historical apathy, and get it on the right track--if that is at all possible. Hmm..does the county perhaps have a separate Genealogical society that could take up the slack?
