My Patrick Kearns came from County Monahan,Ireland. Patrick's wife was Rebecca _?_. He had 5 sons (4 in the rev war) Peter,Barney,John,Edward & youngest William. Peter died in 1799. William & Edward were Methodist preachers, & went to Ross Co.Oh.1800.John went to Monongalia,Co.WV. with Patrick.Patrick died there 1806.He had bought land there & devided it among his sons. Barney went down into Randolph,Co.at Kerns,WV. Some how the Census people started spelling their name Kerns, but that is a German Name. Kearns is Irish. Barney had a son William marr.Nancy Parsons,Hardman.(this is my line.) As for McCauly, My line is through Robert McCauly(spelled so many ways) Robert Sr.was in Pendelton,Co.WV.
