    1. RE: [WVHAMPSH-L] Where is Mill Creek?

    3. As far as I know, there is (and always was) only one Mill Creek that empties into the South Branch of the Potomac in present Hampshire County (I believe those were Tootsie's original assumptions). There were other streams with Mill in the name, but not "Creeks.". We can eliminate the Runs, and the Mill streams that flow into other rivers, such as Mill Branch of the Cacapon River, which by the way was named after the Mill family rather than a flour mill. There are 40-50 Mill Creek/Runs in WV and many are in HAMP Co. -----Original Message----- From: Pat Foley [mailto:Patndi@westco.net] Sent: Tuesday, February 10, 2004 11:56 AM To: WVHAMPSH-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [WVHAMPSH-L] Where is Mill Creek? I'll step into the middle of this, and I am probably way off base, but there is a Mill Creek in Randolph County and many White's lived in the area. 3. I have waded in several of them I listed.... A good map is DeLorme...they also show dozens in WV. Just checked and there are many Mill Creeks and Mill Runs in WV. My numbers were close. About Terraserver....another reference point...and not concrete. -----Original Message----- From: Wilmer L.
