$15 per hour is reasonable for a good researcher. I know of some that charge $25 or more. Of course, I have also seen some who charge only $6. If you want someone who is good and will really get into the deepest of records, you usually have to pay. If you get a good one, it will be cheaper than going there yourself with expenses. And, if they are familiar with the courthouse they may find things a stranger will never find. I have seen it happen. If I have missed the point of this email, sorry...Lyle
