    3. No need for anyone to write to The West Virginia Advocate. It no longer exists, and the mail will be returned to you. The paper went out of business in May 1992 after the editor committed suicide. To repeat a previous e-mail, I wrote all of the genealogical articles that were published in that newspaper from July 1982 thru May 1992. Some of those articles were published in book form in 1995 in Frederick County, Virginia: Settlement and Some First Families of Back Creek Valley, 1730-1830. The remainder of the articles will be included in my next book on Hampshire County. Copies of the newspaper articles may be secured from either the Handley Regional Library, Archives Division in Winchester or the Hampshire County Public Library in Romney. Wilmer L.
