Speaking of the Hampshire County basement records -- I called the courthouse Monday to inquire about Mr. Rice, specifically if he is still working on the material. I was told by one of the clerk's assistants that because of all the flap that he had received Mr. Rice had quit the task. She instructed me to send my request to Ms. Link and if they had time they would do lookups. However, since this is an election year they may not be able to get to genealogy requests very quickly. I did mail my request and if I get any reply I will let the list know.
