I'm ashamed to admit it, but I have Broderbund CD #310, Census Index: Colonial America 1607 - 1789. It's a collection of names of colonists, from almost entirely undocumented sources. I found the name of an ancestor, George Core, listed on the 1775 South Branch Manor Rent Rolls. Are the originals of these records in the collection at the Virginia State Library? I haven't found them among the microfilm available from the LDS. It would be interesting to see the format of the original rolls, and how the names were grouped. It would also be interesting to see if rent rols from other years survived, and if there were any original surveys. Has anybody on the list been able to find these documents? Brian Brian D. Core P.O.
