In the 1790s, one of the collector of the personal property tax in Hampshire Co. was Arjalon Price. It looks like he was succeeded by George Price. Can anyone tell me what part of the county Price's lists represent? Thanks for your help. Jim Funkhouser

Moore, 1974 This book contains several references to an Arjalon Price of Orange Co., VA, and his wife Joyce (Barber) Price. E.g., his son Wm. md. Mary Moore in or before 1775. In 1756 Arjalon's dau Mary Barber Price md. Benj. Crump. Bernard Moore md. Catherine Price, Arjalon's dau, in 1770 in Orange Co. John Price, Col. Arjalon Price's son, appears on Andrew Shepherd's tax list (1782-85) in Orange Co.
