Robinson listers, I have posted in the past searching for recent relations to my Robinson line. As I have obtained some new info, I thought I might try connecting with more distant relations. I am searching for relations to Col. William Robinson, b. 25 Mar. 1709 in Middlesex Co, VA. M. 1st Agatha Beverly 17 Feb. 1737; 2nd Agnes Smith 1758. William d. at the family home in Spotsylvania Co., 7 Aug. 1792. Issue of William and Agatha Beverley Robinson: 1. John Robinson, b. 1738, eldest son [and my DIRECT LINE], m. 1st a Miss Page; m. 2nd (mg. bond dated 24 Nov 1757) to Lucy Smith had two sons who went to Tennessee ca 1800. A third son John Thomas m. Elizabeth Emerson and had issue: Beverly W., Arthur, Samuel, William, Richard b. abt 1812, John, and Joseph Lewis. [These families are found in the 1840 Hampshire Co., VA census.] The latter was the father of Mr. P. M. Robinson, Vice Pres. of Union National Bank of Clarksburg, West Virginia. Richard Robinson was my ggg-father and had son, John W. Robinson, b. 1843, Harrison Co., VA. The family moved to Noble Co. OH abt. 1854. John W. later moved to Louisville, KY, d. 1892. 2. Henry (Harry) Robinson, Direct Line of E. Viola Robinson Long. (Her book, This Robinson Line: 1468 -1938 is an invaluable source for much of this info.) 3. Catherine Robinson, b. 1742, d. 1798, m., cousin, Beverley Winslow 23 Dec., 1757. Issue of William and Agness Smith Robinson: 4. Benjamin Robinson, m. Catherine Parker. 5. Francis Robinson, b. 2 Mar., 1765, m. Mary Emily Terrill. 6. Samuel Robinson, m. . . . Neavil. 7. Agnes Robinson, m. Edmond Stephens. 8. Lucy Robinson, m. Joseph Nelson of Spotsylvania Co., VA. 9. Elizabeth Robinson, b. 3 Nov. 1770, d. 16 Oct., 1830, m. William Nelson. I have much more to share on my direct line and hope to connect many of the VA Robinson lines I have seen postings for.
