Bill, The author of the article did not give specific references for the leases, bt they should be easy to find. My ancestor Gearge Core sold his lease in 1777, and it was recorded in Hampshire Co. Deed Book 3. I've rented the microfilm for several of these early deed books from the LDS Family History Center, and they've been quite useful. They're indexed, too. You can start your search at familysearch.org. The earliest leases on South Branch Manor go back to 1747, when the area was first surveyed.
