    3. While sorting through to find the Ebenezer burials for Wayne, I encountered these others ... I checked the GNIS and not much joy there, but then not all the little family graveyards are ON the GNIS. Redland Cemetery -- is this up at Red House or somewhere in Hampshire? Morgan Cemetery -- MAY be over in Berkeley County, at least GNIS shows one over there. Aline Family graveyard -- absolutely no clues "The Berg" -- Somewhere around Romney -- Jane, would you know? Shannon -- in Springfield, WV, but not on GNIS Fairchance -- absolutely no clues McIntyre -- absolutely no clues Sugar Hollow -- absolutely no clues Context for all of these implies they're in a "reasonable" distance of Romney. However, I'm unable to tell whether some of these are possessive usage rather than nominative usage -- Hilton's (where Hilton lives) as opposed to Hilton's house (which Hilton owns) or as opposed to Hilton Hotel (the name of the bulding) or Hilton Head (the name of the town). That might make McIntyre cemetery the cemetery USED by the McIntyres rather than one named McIntyre. Still, I found county residents reported buried in these places, and figured I should mention 'em. 3. Cheryl, "The Berg" is Isaac Mean's house that passed into the Williams family. The house sits at the corner of Rt. 50 and Fox's Hollow Rd. The graveyard is in the middle of the gravel storage area next to Fox's Hollow Rd. to the north of the house. There used to be a huge barn between the house and the cemetery but it burned down in the 1950's because the hay stored in it heated up. I think Danny Oates inventoried this cemetery. I don't know anything about the other cemeteries you mention. Jane At 12:05 PM 10/19/02, you wrote: >While sorting through to find the Ebenezer burials for Wayne, I encountered >these others ...
