Hi Amanda, Census records show a Mulledy family in Romney in the early 1800s. They were one of the few Catholic families in Hampshire Co. Two of their sons became Jesuit priests. One of them, Rev. Thomas Mulledy, S.J., was president of Georgetown University (then Georgetown College) for many years and his diary and papers are in the library there, entries such as:"Dec 16 1836, Set out for Romney; Dec 23, Mass for Father and family; Apr. 22 1849, Set out for Romney (from Phila.); Apr. 23, arr. Balto. 4am left 725, arr Romney 10pm; Apr. 29, Mass for Mother and sister Anne. Diary closes in 1850 but lots of other material. I have more info if you are interested.
