    3. This is my brick wall! I'm trying to find a connection for my Bernard Watkins (1810-1882) with a Watkins line in Loudoun or Hampshire Co but just don't know which Watkins it was. Facts I have from various Loudoun and Hampshire Co. records: -Bernard's parents were WILLIAM and ANN WATKINS ( m. ca 1805). I have no maiden name for Ann. -William died (ca 1820); Aan (sic) Watkins appears in 1820 Loudoun census. -Ann remarried DANIEL BROWN in 1825 (Loudoun Co) -1829 Loudoun Co lawsuit (Watkins vs. ALEXANDER HENDERSON) and earlier Hampshire Co land records show land in Hampshire Co purchased by brothers THOMAS (Thomas Bates Watkins?) and WILLIAM WATKINS and possibly another brother JAMES WATKINS. The lawsuit settlement named William's heirs as the same children of Ann Watkins Brown above. The "friend" of the minor children in the lawsuit was BERNARD TAYLOR, a Loudoun Co resident. -William Watkins in census records for both Hampshire and Loudoun counties so I'm not sure where this family was living before William's death. I've even wondered if Thos., James, and William Watkins were related to the Watkins ferry family (located in today's Berkeley Co. ) -Bernard Watkins and his sisters all married Loundoun Co residents in late 1820s-mid1830s: John Gant, George Neptune, John Adams, Charlotte Littleton. I just haven't figured out a connection between Hampshire Co and Loudoun Co. If anyone can help me figure the out, I'd sure be a happy camper!
