Other spellings found are Majoram and Margarium, and Balfour and Brelsford. Margium lived with his parents in Hampshire County until he was eighteen years of age, and enlisted in the War of 1812. After the war he settled near Colombus, Ohio. The 1830 Census shows a Margarium Belford living in Harrison Township, Pickaway County, Ohio, which is about 20 miles south of Columbus. He, his first wife, and two daughters moved to Princeville Township, Peoria County, Illinois, about 1830; and his wife and one daughter died shortly thereafter. He married Sarah Orr in 1836 and they had four children. He died in Princeville in 1870 and Sarah in 1878.

    3. Do you know the names of his daughter's? I have a Delilah Brelsford and a Eleanor Belford, both from this area, both married into the Hines family, and I believe they may be related. I have not been able to find out anything about them.
