Posted on: Hampshire County, WV Query Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/WV/Hampshire?read=1273 Surname: Anderson ------------------------- The list of soldiers from Hampshire County does not include Thomas Anderson a soldier from the beginning who became a Captain of Virginia Millitia and was at Yorktown with his company of sappers when Cornwallis surrendered. Thomas was also in the colonial wars ie with Lord Dunsmore at Chillicothe and Braddocks defeat at Fort Dusquene with his father William. I wonder how this all got lost as William's history used to be in the library in Keyser in 1965. Thomas' son James also entered the army as a yound teenager during the last three months of the Revolution.
