My Watkins line has Judith Lane Timbrook (b. 1797-d. 1885) daughter of John Timbrook and Elizabeth Lane of Hampshire Co, VA/WV, married Thomas Bates Watkins in Romney, Hampshire Co, VA Nov 20, 1815. I don't know much more about Timbrooks though there appear to be several in Frederick and Loudoun Co, VA as well. Another clue is that Elizabeth Lane, wife of John Timbrook, was born in 1771 to Wm Lane and Rebecca Montanye of Monmouth Co, NJ. She had a brother, James Lane and a sister, Phoebe Lane. Phoebe born 1773, James born 1769. DAR papers show William Lane born in Monmouth County, New Jersey in 1740 and died in 1790. He served as a Private Minute Man in the Monmouth County New Jersey Militia during the Revolutionary War. Thomas B. Watkins ( born 1779) appears to be son of William and Ann Watkins of Loudoun Co, VA. There are DAR references for William Lane and a Rev War pension for Thomas Bates Watkins which gives a great deal of info on Thomas and Judith and their children. Hope this helps.
